Meet Krista Kehoe the Equestrian Life Coach
Krista Kehoe is a life coach for equestrian women, specializing in adult amateur dressage riders who are deeply committed to their horses and their goals — and who want their results to match their effort.
With more than 40 years in the saddle, Krista brings both competitive experience and lived perspective to her work. She has ridden across disciplines — from Western and trail riding in her youth, to eventing competitively and serving as a working student in New Zealand for the Clifton Eventers, to competing in the hunter/jumper ring, returning to eventing, and most recently making her FEI dressage debut with her 17-year-old Lusitano schoolmaster, Chico. She is currently developing her young Swedish Warmblood, Vito, with the help of her trainer, while continuing to pursue ambitious performance goals of her own.
Krista has been a professional life coach since 2019, following a 20-year career as a high school biology teacher. Her coaching philosophy is anchored in a simple but powerful truth:

How it works - The Inhalation Process
1. Receiving the Aroma
When you inhale lavender oil, the scent molecules enter your nasal cavity.
2. Olfactory Receptors
Inside your nasal cavity, there are specialized cells known as olfactory receptors. These receptors are sensitive to different scent molecules.
3. Nerve Impulse Creation
When lavender molecules bind to these receptors, they trigger a nerve impulse that sends signals to the olfactory bulb, a structure located at the base of the brain.
4. Signal Processing
The olfactory bulb processes the signals and sends them to various areas of the brain, particularly:

The History of HorseScents
When Chrisie’s horse Caprioso faced months of stressful treatment and rehabilitation in the summer of 2016, she began to investigate natural stress-relieving remedies. Chrisie soon discovered that a bundle of lavender tied to his halter would provide hours of zen.
